Welcome to the second session!
We started this lesson by asking you go present your favorite music video. Here it is:
At then end of the day we redefined the idea of "creativity" which is not the same as artistic ability. Instead of striving to present a finished peace of art the idea is to present an unfinished peace of a draft
This means, you have to trust the people around you. The idea is to share your expertise with others in a group. And to allow them to ask questions. The idea is to approach a problem by "experimental learning" with "creative confidence".
Empathy: To put yourself into some else’s shoes with:
no judgment, a beginner’s eye, curiosity, respect
Collect the other’s stories, not just information, by asking "why"
Define: To focus all the information and stories in order to define the (potential) needs: "human, physical, emotional necessities" (Justin Ferrell). And to find out the insights of those.
Looking for specific user with a strong point of view statement expressing own and not a projected need.
Ideate (or: "Brainstorm"): Linus Pauling>: "The best way to get a good idea is to get a lot of ideas" to react to the problem statement.
Presenting the ideas allows you to collect feed-back... before you start looking for your favorites and transforming them into a potential product or service.
Prototype and test an initial idea: early and often!
in a personal conclusion these are the most impotant guidelines:
DESIGN and THINKING are equally important
Have the customer in mind all the time
Break the silos like those of the Brockhaus
„We work: as a team, in a team… for our own“
Collect the info’s, define the unknown, do the impossible
Do focus more on basic needs and not on the technology
Respect technology as a purpose but not as your destination
Respect the learnings by doing MVPs
Do early prototyping and real-time testing
Look for feedback, it’s needed for survival (& improving the product)
Learn from the (habits of the) people
Be aware of empathy and activate contextual awareness
"Fail, fail again, fail better"
Search for entrepreneurial sustainability
Look for authenticity and affiliation
